What Is Reflexology?
Foot reflexology is so much more than a foot rub! Reflexology is a therapeutic method of pain relief that stimulates pressure points in the feet. Through this form of therapy, any part of the body that is in pain, due to illness or potential debility, can be strengthened through applied pressure at the foot. These pressure points connect our organs and glands directly through the nervous system. When you’re experiencing pain that is not the result of any particular condition, reflexology can be an effective method to prevent illness, relieve symptoms of stress or injury, alleviate chronic fatigue and promote deep relaxation.
What Can I Expect From Treatment?
Prior to treatment, the patient verbalizes his or her specific complaints of pain, so the reflexologist can determine the appropriate pressure points for treatment. The overall goal of reflexology therapy is to promote wellness and prevent future body pain.
